As specialists, Associates for Oral, Maxillofacial & Implant Surgery have the advanced knowledge, experience, and technologies to support complete, safe, and precise implant services. Our Board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Drs Russell P. Spinazze, Mark A. Spinazze, and Eliza P. Drobny, offer an array of distinctive capabilities and services to restore your smile, oral health, and well-being from our offices in Chicago, Mount Prospect, Elk Grove Village, and Bartlett, Illinois, four of which are highlighted below.
With our surgeons’ considerable knowledge of the anatomy and function of the mouth, face, and jaws, you know that each implant will be positioned exactly where it should be, and that your procedure will be held to the highest safety standards. Our specialists’ expertise is further complemented by sophisticated technologies, which aid in planning your surgery and treatment. State-of-the-art technologies and techniques also minimize risks of adverse side effects and complications, and promote a positive and comfortable experience at every step in this journey to replacing your teeth. Often, other dentists refer their patients to us. They trust that we will take good care of their valuable patients and insert each implant precisely and predictably.
Likewise, other dental professionals turn to us when their patients may otherwise not be good candidates for dental implants. For instance, other dentists’ patients may have gone without teeth for some time. When this happens, destructive bone loss arises. Without adequate bone in the jaw, the implant does not have the healthy foundation to heal properly. Before implants can serve as a foundation for crowns, bridges, or dentures, they must join with the surrounding bone. This bone provides support to the implant. Due to our unique training and experience, our specialists can build up the jawbone with sinus lift/sinus augmentation and ridge augmentation procedures. Once the bone has been regenerated, patients are generally good candidates for implants, a procedure that otherwise may not be appropriate without additional interventions.

Those patients who may not be good candidates for grafting or do not want to undergo this additional surgery can benefit from All-on-4® dental implants. This advanced technique involves strategically positioning each implant to use existing bone in the jaw. This generally means placing as few as two implants vertically and two at the back at a 45-degree angle to support all of the new teeth in the upper or lower jaw with a denture. In turn, All-on-four is considered to be a “graft-less” procedure. Some patients may be able to replace all of the teeth in their mouths with just eight to 12 implants – four to six to support the upper denture, and four to six to retain the lower denture.
We strive to create the most hassle-free experience for our patients. In turn, we provide options to quickly rebuild smiles without waiting. For example, All-on-4/Teeth-in-a Day allows our surgeons to place a provisional prosthesis at your appointment. Once your mouth has healed, this provisional prosthesis will ultimately be replaced with your permanent prosthesis. All-on-4/Teeth-in-a Day concepts are largely made possible with our use of computer-guided techniques to ensure the least invasive and most conservative (tissue-preserving) implant surgery. Treatment planning is aided by software and imaging that allows us to create a 3-dimensional version of your mouth. Such visualization supports the most accurate surgical insertion of your implants. These technologies are also used to craft your new teeth, which can be placed in a one time visit. With these technologies, you never have to be seen in public without teeth or grapple with the challenges of eating or functioning without all your teeth. Your prosthesis can be delivered the same day.
Our surgeons also take special interest in and are qualified to provide general anesthesia and IV sedation, which promotes a relaxing and comfortable treatment for even the most apprehensive patients. We welcome any questions that you may have about specialty surgical care.
